I'm considering cancelling the party. It's shaping up as a disaster. I was hoping that if, when I wrote the invitation, if I just left off the "b" word, that it wouldn't turn out like all my other birthdays - unqualified horrors. But no. This one's worse only because it's a big milestone during which I can reflect on exactly how little I've done with my life.

I don't know.

Urgh. I'm in a crappy space to give advice on this one since I'm not particularly pleased about my own upcoming birthday. I don't think you should cancel the party, because maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have others around you who can help you remember the things you have accomplished. Of course you could do that with just the Mr. and the kids around. Or those that gave you the name Bodhisattva Kwitcherbitchen. :)

You may NOT cancel the party!

1) I am totally looking forward to a food-contest party and think it's a great theme.
2) I moved my housewarming party plans so I could come to your party.

C'mon, it should totally rock.

Yeah, please don't cancel it. It gives me a way to not think about my birthday! :)

Well cancel if you must -- b/c after all, it is your b-day.

After reading this I totally realized that I have not RSVPed although I've given thought to what awesomely odd thing I can bring. So I guess this is my pseudo-rsvp and I'll try to do it right this weekend. Layer doesn't cook but I told her she could be my food prep person or something like that.
