I'm beginning to feel incredibly stretched thin. Something has to give. Since I took up the podcast, it's starting to consume me, and I'm thinking that I need to straighten things out. It's not garnering the audience I was hoping for, but I'm infamously impatient, and it's only been a month. I'm freaking because this is turning out to be a real time-eater. If you could take my poll, perhaps point others to this poll, it would help me figure out where to go from here.

For those of you who don't know, the podcast to which I am referring is Satellite of Grace.

Poll #536884 Who Wants to Re-Order My Priorities?

Have you listened to my podcast?

I listened to the first one and was not interested in it.
I have listened to more than one, but not all.
I have listened to all of them.
I would listen, but can't figure out how.
I would listen, but I'm much too busy/am not interested enough in the subject matter.

Do you feel this program provides any public benefit?

The market for religious pandering is dangerously overserved.
You're wasting your time on something other people do better.
Some other negative comment that I'm framing as coming from you, although it's entirely internal to me.

What would make you more engaged in the program?

More Christian-based guests.
More non-Christian guests.
More non-religious guests.
More of the host's sparkling personality. ;)
More music.
More conversation/give and take.
Different hosts.
More guests of a religion I will name in the comment section.

Would you be interested in hosting/being a guest?

I'd love to host.
I'd love to be a guest.
I know someone really interesting who would make a good guest.
I know someone really charming who would make an ideal host.

No, really. Am I wasting my time?

No, you're not. Don't give up.
Are you still enjoying it? If not, quit.
Really, you're out of your depth and should give up.
What's a podcast?

I love Satellite of Grace and you know that I don't usually bend my mind in the direction of spirituality much at all. Thank you for your podcast-- it is my favorite!

Er, um, not filling out the poll because: I haven't listened to it yet because I suspect it will be frustrating because I'm on dial-up, and I haven't yet set aside a block of time to find out just how frustrating it will be.

I like your views, and your opinions, and I suspect I'd like the show and how you interact with others on these kinds of subjects.

The best I could suggest is that if it's taxing, see if you can slow down a bit instead of quitting altogether.

Well, I can't listen to the podcast at school (...I don't have speakers...) but I read the page when I saw this post, and I think that it sounds really interesting. Yeah there's a lot of religious content on the web, but lets not forget that not all of it is intelligent. If you're contributing something meaningful to the world, then I thnk that the effort is worth it. That is, if you still want to - don't keep doing it if its too much work! Your life should be your first priority since you only get one, and if a hobby becomes too much work that you can't enjoy it, well...

Btw, I checked out your journal when I saw your LJ user icon, and HAD to comment on it. As an art history minor, it made me fall over and die with glee. ^_^;;;
