Dream Tech

The other night, I was dreaming that I worked with a thing sort of like an artist's light box, only it was much, much cooler than that.

The box itself was about two and a half feet square and about eight inches high. The top was made of frosted glass lit up from underneath. On one side, a keyboard popped out. If you wanted to draw something using this light box, all you'd have to do was type what you wanted to draw into the keyboard, and a clipart representation of that thing would appear on the glass. You could resize, view it from any angle and light it from anywhere.

Once you've chosen your object or objects, moved them into position and adjusted the lighting, you could either use the picture as the computer composed it, or you can use a stylus and draw it using the computer's picture as a guide. The computer would capture your drawing.

Once I woke up, I was all excited because I have fabulous ideas, but no drawing talent whatsoever. Even my stick figures are completely awful. If only....
