Nice to See Everyone

Despite the bronchitis, I dragged my sorry behind over to CS last night, and I'm glad I did.

It's always nice to see everyone.

I had been hoping to be there, but a late code promotion kept me in the office till 8ish... planning to be at OVC on Sunday though.

I wonder if we'll be changing the schedule for November.

And I wonder if muses are allowed at the retreat.

I was sort of hoping it would just be the writers, mostly because if you start bringing your entourage, why go on a retreat to begin with?

I think others might find it distracting, too.

Well, one of my muses is also a writer, so I'd be at risk of being a distraction to her as well. We have our own retreat planned, another few hours up the coast. :)

Are we serious about having writing sessions in SF? Or somewhere closer to SF? I miss seeing you and Cliff. Well, and I love the city.

I'm busy this weekend. (Like half the population of SF. Heh-heh-heh.) Have fun at OVC.

I was reasonably serious. Cliff and I have been talking about getting together for coffee and writing anyway, as I think he's within a mile or two of me. If we make it a periodic thing, you remaining south bay folks can come up here and enjoy a bit of the City.

Might even be able to work out pickup from Caltrain, if people wanted to avoid the drive.

I wonder if Crossroads Cafe is open on weekends. Nice place, food and coffee and a little bookstore and art displays, a big outdoor seating area across the street from the Embarcadero and waterfront.

It's good to see you, too. And definitely let's do a Sunday afternoon.
