Mind You, I Wasn't Participating

So, I wrote my words. I wasn't participating. I just happened to be working on a novel at the same time as some other people. That's all.

I honestly didn't think I'd make it this year, because I didn't write for 15 out of 30 days, and on three of the remaining 15, I wrote fewer than 2,000 words. But when I'm on a roll, I'm on a roll. And the good thing is that this year, the Pirate has taken advantage of my being distracted with writing to distract himself with some code writing, which makes him just as happy and proud as my writing makes me.

So, here we are with a messy house, filthy, underfed children, and chickens running wild, just being happy and proud together.
