In other news, I just came from taking the Baby Goddess on a field trip to the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History. At one point, the smarmy undergrad volunteer (SUV) was talking about habitats and about how some animals move from one habitat to another.
SUV: Deer are an example of an animal that moves from one habitat to another. They live in the forest, but sometimes they go to the meadow. Can anyone tell me why they would go to the meadow?
BG: Because deer are just like us. They live in the forest, but they like to go out for dinner a lot.
