Check Me Out! I'm the Elephant Girl!

You are closest to the Lord Ganesha. Althogh he has
an interseting feature of looking like and
elephant, his power makes him strong and
faithful. Lord Ganesh is the God to remove all
obstacles in life. And because of his unique
figure, one of his forces is that he looks
beyond one's outer apearance. You are most like
this Great God because you are strong and not
all that judgemental but, you are human and it
can be something in you like all the rest of
us. Well Lord Ganesh like many other gods and
goddess are just all incarnations of the one
almighty god.

What Hindu God or Goddess are you like?

So, what's the difference between Ganesha and Ganesh? Is there some time when there's an "a" at the end and some times when it's left off?

To my understanding, it's just a matter of the translation, since it's being translated from another language. They are the same with or without the final A. Or, maybe it's only "GaneshA" at the end of a line in song lyrics:

"If you ever find yourself in a mess, ya
Better start a-prayin' to Ganesh-A..."

or something like that.

Removing obstacles - yup, sounds like you
Doesn't this mean that I'm your mama?

Frankly, I don't think that's something you'd want on your conscience.

But no, actually Parvati is Ganesha's mother. Corporeally, I think I'd rather be her because she's amazingly bodacious, but spiritually speaking, Ganesha RAWKS!

I have statues of Parvati, Shiva Nataraja and Ganesha on my mantelpiece at home. They're important to me.
