There Is No Font Large Enough

We got the house. I can't even contain my joy at this. pirateguillermo and I can't stop kissing and tearing up and staring into each other's eyes and whispering "We're buying a house together."

The only downside is that because of the long process of selection, there's someone else out there who waited just as long as we did and who is now disappointed. I'm sorry for them.

On the other hand, PARTY AT OUR HOUSE OVER LABOR DAY!!!!!!!!

Yay!
Congratulations!!!!!!

We had two very serious prospectives this weekend, so, keep your fingers crossed that we'll get a quick sale, please?

Okay, from my perspectives, here are some things the seller did that drove me crazy: the initial offers were reviewed 7/6. We didn't hear back with counter-offers until the tenth. We faxed our signed counteroffer back the same day, and we only heard a decision TODAY.

On the other hand, you've got commitments to another place. I know that yours will be snatched up in no time!

Having been through this as a buyer and a seller, before, it's pretty normal for sellers to state "We're not accepting offers until x date".

This gives them time to review the offers, because while their agent is required to present all offers, the sellers are NOT obligated to accept the first one.

Personally, I hate this game-playing. So, for me, if someone makes an offer, and I can live with it, we're likely to accept or counter same-day.

I don't know if "paint" is really the right word. I was thinking we could just put drop cloths down on the carpet, then really messily sacrifice a goat and some chickens. The hair and feathers would add a "rustic" texture, and nothing says "Trespassers Beware" like entrails nailed to a tree at the end of the driveway.

yay!
How exciting!

You and my parents can celabrate together! They are just closing escrow on a new house, too.

I can't wait until I have a place of my own. I want a house to decorate soooo badly. Let me put it this way, I spend hours watching Home and Garden Network.
