What I Do to Be Healthy

Vitamins are smelly. It's no wonder they make people nauseous. I get queasy just looking at pills the size of hubcaps that smell like dirt (only worse). And no, I can't eat things like PowerBars, because they're just giant vitamins with the consistency of dog poop (no, I've never eaten dog poop, but I've shoveled enough to know its consistency, and it's pure chocolate fudge PowerBar).

Why do vitamins in real food taste fabulous, but vitamins in pills taste disgusting? Now my mother's advice makes total sense - don't take vitamins, just eat well.

I'm only taking extra vitamins to try and shake this damn clinging cold. After that, it's back to actual food.

Chewable vitamin C might be easier to take. Also, some of the chewable children's vitamins, such as Flintstones might also have a slightly better taste. If you compare some of the doses in the childrens complete vitamins to the adult versions, you may find similar doses.

hope you feel better soon.

i only take chewable vitamins and things that come in gel capsules for that reason - choking down a hockey puck to get healthy always struck me as a little ironic.
